Hello, friends.
The school year is underway, the WNBA playoffs are here, and the buzz around our Golden State Valkyries is electric. In case you’ve been living under a rock (sorry for you if so), San Francisco’s newest team just wrapped up a historic inaugural season—beating the odds, making the playoffs, and bringing home both Coach of the Year and Most Improved Player of the Year. 💜⚔️
I’m thrilled to share that my podcast co-host (and great friend!!) Raina and I launched “Valkyries, Say Less” after that first preseason game—and this past week, we were mentioned in the New York Times, KQED, and ABC7. We’re not sports analysts; we tell the backstories. These women are extraordinary athletes and human beings, and if you haven’t tuned in yet, now’s the time.
Oh hey…
With my French roots in mind, I can’t resist hyping our three French national team players(plus four who speak French as a first language!). Inspired by Les Bleues, I created the Allez Les Violettes line, bringing together my love of France, basketball, and the Valks’ violet pride.
💎 Another highlight? Check out Avrielle’s Pump Up the Gems—she makes incredible “anti-ICE” and custom WNBA bracelets. A Valks fan asked her to design some, and the line took off. Wear your resistance. I’m rarely without mine.
🧘 On the mindfulness side, I just published my second article with Mindful Magazine, this one about meditating with a mantra. If you’re curious, I offer individual and group sessions—reach out anytime. Life goal: offer this workshop to the Valks, in French and English.
As we head into a year that promises both excitement and challenge, I hope you’re leaning into joy, connection, and community. Anxiety is real—but so is the power of uplifting spaces.
