Hi, I’m Vanessa Hutchinson-Szekely, the founder of Big Belly Breathing. 🌟
My goal? Spread the love of meditation and make it accessible to everyone. This powerful practice should be as mainstream as #planking once was. Let’s make it happen.
Not your typical meditation teacher, I’m a former high school basketball player who now geeks out over the new local WNBA team (go Valkyries! 🏀⚡️) and channels mindfulness with a mix of humor, heart, and real-world joy. With nearly 25 years of experience as an educator, holistic health and mindfulness advocate, mom, and with deep French roots in Haute Savoie (La Yaute!) and California, I created Big Belly Breathing to teach meditation and share simple, joyful mindfulness practices that ignite energy, clarity, and creativity.
As a content creator, I design “Mindfulness Joy Resources”—including a podcast with guided meditations set in cities around the world, several brightly colored journals, and courses (both online and in-person) that make mindfulness fun, easy, and accessible—for you and your whole family.
